Val Bishop

Currently Val is President of the Ontario Ecotourism Society and an active Board Member on the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Outdoor Committee. Val is also a member of the Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association, Interpretation Canada, Project Adventure, the Association for Experiential Education and the International Ecotourism Society.

Thom Lambert

Thom, who lives in Haliburton, is an artist, teacher, naturalist, crank and fun hog. He has degrees in Natural History Interpretation (Ball State University) and Education (Queens University) and has spent much of the past 25 years working in various facets of the outdoor industry. His work and travel has taken him across most of the US and Canada.

Thom teaches Leadership and Group Development, Emerging Markets, and co-teaches Natural and Cultural Stewardship. He also leads Fall and Winter Field Camps.

Thom is an avid whitewater paddler, nordic skier, fisherman and explorer.


Trish Manning

Trish has had a varied career in both the private and public sector. She is the principal of Manning Consulting Group Inc. (manningconsultinggroup.com) which specializes in strategic tourism product/market development, business planning and advisory services for destinations, businesses, governments and non-government organizations.

Her tourism experience and knowledge has been gained through a wide variety of education, employment and extensive travel in her home region of Muskoka as well as other parts of Ontario and the world. Having a strong passion for community and the environment, she has a particular interest and expertise in sustainable tourism planning, development and marketing.
